The start of this year's trek - the final leg of our South West Coast Path challenge - has started perfectly! Julia and Kevin got 'stand-by' tickets on the first flight of the day, their luggage got on the same flight and they arrived at Heathrow at 8:15am. Traffic on the M4 was moderate and we kept up a steady 65-70 most of the way to Bristol. We called in on Mike and Jean for lunch (lovely ham salad with olive bread, thanks Jean) and then called in at Buckfastleigh for a steam train ride on the way to Dartmouth where we arrived at 5:40. Our accommodation (Bayards Cove Inn) had saved me a parking space right next to the Inn and our rooms are spacious with, just, a sea view. We went out for a stroll, fish and chip supper, glass of wine and in bed before 9pm exhausted! This morning looks beautiful, light cloud and sunshine. No walking today as we are playing tourists and doing the 'Round Robi' trip of boat/bus/steam train/ferry.
