Maybe my memory is playing tricks but it seemed much easier to climb Golden Cap than it used to be because they have now put in steps and rope handrails whereas I seem to remember climbing/scrambling over stones and boulders.
On our way down into Charmouth Julia spotted a young deer, not quite a foal but certainly not full grown, walking up a quiet residential side street. I thought it was a dog at first, as it was following a cat. We stood and watched it but it turned round and went back down the street and through a hedge.
