Dartmouth-Brixham

After a fantastic breakfast we caught the car ferry from Dartmouth (it set off almost as soon as we drove on!) and Julia and Kevin set off walking round the coast, while I drove across the headland the few miles to Brixham. I dropped our bags off at the B&B, parked the car then set off to meet them coming the other way. The forecast rain did not materialise. I took a shortcut and walked about 2.6 miles before finding a nice sheltered hillside with a view and settled down in the sunshine to await their arrival. They made it in super fast time and I then joined them for the 3.5 mile return trip(without my shortcut!). We stopped at Berry Head cafe for a coffee and shared a huge slice of coconut and raspberry cake before finishing the walk. We arrived back in Brixham at 3pm. After a shower and change of clothes we went for a walk round the town, booked a table at a Thai/Indian restaurant for 6:30 (meeting Julia's friends for a meal) then went for a drink down by the harbour. Julia's friends did not arrive until 7:30 and our food did not arrive until 8:45 by which time we had almost gone past being hungry! However, the food was delicious! My breakfast of smoked mackerel and scrambled eggs on toast....
