Seaton to Seatown

This morning after an outstanding breakfast J and K set off walking and I set out in the car to drive to our B and B in Chideock.....I then caught a bus back to Lyme Regis where I had arranged to meet them. I got in rather early and hung around waiting for them to arrive, which they did at about 11:10.  They were disappointed with their morning's walk as most of the path had been destroyed by landslips and they were diverted to walk along the road!  We had coffee and pasties in Lyme them set out for Seatown. Again there were lots of diversions due to landslides but the final bit, up and over Golden cap was spectacular and worth every step of the way up!  Golden Cap holds fond memories for me of my times in Bridport with Chas and Brenda.

We called into the Anchor pub on Seatown beach but it was too noisy and

 Golden Cap looking rather small!!

rowded to consider going back there for our evening meal so we walked the 1km up the hill to our B and B, had a shower and went to the George where we all had different variations of a Ploughman's - and delicious they were too!  We stopped at the corner shop on the way back and got a bottle of wine and some beer for Kevin, which we drank in the beautiful gardens of our B and B before retiring to bed before 8:30!
