Had a wonderful night's sleep in the Nelson Suite at Bayards Cove Inn. Lovely rooms. Breakfast was something special with fresh fruit, creamy Greek yoghurt, fruit juices, selection of cooked or continental ..... Excellent. We met Kevin's family at the quayside and went on the 'Round Robin' trip, starting with a 90 minute river trip up the Dart to Totnes, an open-topped double deck bus ride to Paignton, a steam train ride to Kingswear, then the ferry back across the Dart to Dartmouth. It rained a few spots when we were on the bus but hardly enough to get you wet - but Julia took a 'selfie' of the 2 of us looking like lemon and lime in our waterproof jackets! The river trip was interesting as we saw the Dartmouth Royal Naval College, Agatha Christie's house, a local vineyard, and more. Paignton was a bit of a disappointment - not really my type of holiday destination!! On our return to Dartmouth Kevin bought a bottle of sparkling wine produced by the vineyard we had passed and we drank it before supper - very nice it was too!! After a superb supper at the Bayards cove Inn where we are staying, it is an early night for me! Tomorrow J&K set out to walk to Brixham and I will drive there then hope to walk back along the coast path to meet them half way (ish). Tomorrow night our accommodation is overlooking the inner harbour.
